The TalkFlash™ 100: Reader (First Grade) Edition contains an introductory crash course designed to familiarize beginning readers with a block of 100 talking flashcards featuring the Primer level Dolch Word List, a list of frequently used words compiled by Edward William Dolch, PhD. The list was prepared in 1936. Dolch compiled the list based on childrens books of his era. The list contains 220 "service words" that have to be easily recognized in order to achieve reading fluency in English. Beginning readers will master the following First Grade Dolch Sight Words:

The TalkFlash™ 100 series of interactive educational talking flashcards is a comprehensive learning system designed to entertain children and adults of all ages via a unique multimedia presentation of a core of "100" concepts, ideas, theories, and/or topics in a given academic discipline.

The TalkFlash™ 100 series incorporates vivid graphical and photographic imagery, environmental and topical "anchoring" sound effects, and age appropriate voices and speech designed to engage the mind and provide a strong mental foundation for further study.



HOW DOES THE TalkFlash™ SYSTEM WORK ON MY iPHONE?

To run the application, you will simply click the application icon on your iPhone to begin the series. Each card opens with a "related" sound effect, designed to anchor the concept or key idea in the brain and allow for easy recall. In addition to the anchoring sound effect, a voice is heard, which will provide a short and concise "speech description" of the given topic, idea, theory or concept. Additional text appears at the bottom of each card to provide a more thorough description of the given topic, idea, theory or concept.

You may adjust the Settings to play the cards in sequential order, or randomly as you see fit. You can also turn sound on or off, to quiz yourself, and assist with the auditory recall without the sound cues playing automatically.
